insightselector.com (the "Site") and the Insight Selector service (the "Service") are owned and operated by Kevella Energy Healing ("we," "us," or "our").

Purpose

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users of the Service of the following:

2. How we use the data we collect;
3. Who has access to the data we collect; and
4. The rights of users of the Service.

This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the Terms of Service for the Service.

By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree that you consent to:

1. The conditions set out in this Privacy Policy; and
2. The collection, use, and retention of the data described in this Privacy Policy.

Personal Data We Collect

We only collect data that helps us provide and operate the Service. We will not collect additional data beyond what is described below without notifying you first.

Data you provide to us directly:

1. Email address — when you create an account.
2. Password — stored only in encrypted (hashed) form by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password in readable form.
3. Billing details — when you start a paid subscription, including your name and payment card information. Your full card number is collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe) and is not stored on our systems.

Data we collect automatically when you use the Service:

1. Your IP address;
2. Information about your browser, network, and device;
3. Log and usage data, such as which pages and features of the Service you access.

Data generated as you use your account:

1. Your subscription status and history;
2. Items you save to your favourites.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Service uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate it — principally to keep you securely signed in and to maintain your session. These essential cookies are always used so that we can serve the Service to you. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can control or clear cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.

How We Use Personal Data

Data collected through the Service is used only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We use it to:

1. Create and maintain your account and authenticate you;
2. Process your subscription payments and manage billing;

Service Providers Who Process Data on Our Behalf

To run the Service, we share limited personal data with trusted third-party providers who process it only on our instructions:

• Stripe — processes subscription payments and stores payment-card information securely.
• Supabase — provides our database and authentication (stores your account email, encrypted password, subscription status, and favourites).
• Vercel — hosts the Service and processes basic technical and log data needed to serve the Site.
• Resend — sends transactional email on our behalf.

These providers are bound to protect your data and to use it only for the services they provide to us. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

International Storage and Transfer

Some of our service providers store and process data on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. This means your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in jurisdictions with different data-protection laws than Canada. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected by appropriate safeguards wherever it is processed.

Other Disclosures

We will not sell or share your personal data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

1. If the law requires it;
2. If it is required for any legal proceeding;
3. To establish, exercise, or protect our legal rights; and
4. To a buyer or potential buyer of this business, in the event that we sell or transfer the business.

How Long We Store Personal Data

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You can opt out of marketing or promotional emails at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any such email, or by contacting us. Please note that even after opting out of marketing, we may still send you essential service-related messages (for example, renewal reminders, password resets, or important account notices).

How We Protect Your Personal Data

We protect the data we store using commercially reasonable measures to guard against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification. Data is encrypted in transit, and payment information is handled by our payment processor using encryption to protect your security.

We only ask for personal information when we truly need it to provide the Service, and we collect it by fair and lawful means, with your knowledge and consent. While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security beyond what is reasonably practical.

Age of Use

The Service is offered to users who are 19 years of age or older. By using the Service, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and meet this requirement. If you do not, you must not access or use the Service.

Modifications

We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect changes to our data practices. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" above.
